Research-based recommendations
Where Pixalrig has not physically tested a product, we assess it using verifiable information such as official specifications, manuals, compatibility details, warranty terms, current UK pricing and availability, established independent testing and credible owner feedback. We never describe this work as hands-on testing.
Hands-on testing
A product is labelled as tested by Pixalrig only when we have used it directly. Hands-on coverage should explain the test period, relevant hardware or software, methodology, important settings and whether the product was purchased, supplied, loaned or retained.
How products are selected
- Suitability for the intended buyer and use case
- Current UK price and meaningful alternatives
- Compatibility, specifications and warranty
- Independent evidence about performance and reliability
- Important disadvantages, limitations and ongoing costs
A low price or large advertised saving does not automatically make a product a good recommendation. We explain who should consider it and who should look elsewhere.
Prices, stock and deals
Prices and stock can change quickly. We check time-sensitive information close to publication and identify the retailer. A retailer’s sale badge or recommended retail price is not treated as proof of a genuine saving. Deal coverage uses a stricter verification process and includes a freshness or recheck time where the format supports it.
